Melissa + Ray: Elizabeth, Colorado Wedding Photographer

This was my third collaboration with most of these awesome vendors, and to say that it was INCREDIBLE would be an understatement! This shoot was inspired by romantic french country details, and the amazing ladies from Privé Events and Yours For Your Day made sure that each and every detail was coordinated to perfection.

I am excited to share that this shoot was also featured over on Burnett's Boards

Our models were a real-life married couple (and owners of Under the Garter boudoir studio) named Melissa and Ray, who were ecstatic to have the opportunity to renew their vows and gain some updated wedding photos. We did a first look with them before we started the couple's portraits and Ray's reaction to seeing Melissa for the first time was the TO. DIE. FOR! It seriously doesn't get any sweeter than that! Oh, and Melissa's poses on the vintage couch? That was all Ray's doing and he is SO good at it!

Our venue was a working cattle ranch in Elizabeth, Colorado called the Lone Star Ranch. Their 125 year old barn was the absolute PERFECT place for our evening wedding ceremony lit with candles and market lights! We had a gourmet cupcake display in lieu of a traditional wedding cake, and an incredible wine and cheese sideboard setup. Everything was coordinated to be romantic, feminine, and vintage with lace details and pops of red and pink.

Lastly, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my friend and fellow photographer Michele for spending the day with me out in Elizabeth! I had LASIK done 2 days before this shoot, and I asked her to go with me in case I ended up being blind after the surgery. ;-) Luckily, I wasn't blind and we were both able to take some beautiful photos! Keep an eye on her website and Facebook if you want to see some of her gorgeous photos from the shoot!
